What’s an Entertaining Staple? Charcuterie Boards & Grazing Tables!

What’s an Entertaining Staple? Charcuterie Boards & Grazing Tables!

Attend just about any get together from baby showers, business events to holiday parties and you’ll swipe a piece of cheese, meat, cracker or nut from a beautifully designed charcuterie board. And the size of the board?  That depends on number of guests...and its even ok to place the food directly on the table – that’s called a grazing table.

Charcuterie is a French term for a branch of cooking devoted to prepared meat products. So, meat is what makes it a charcuterie board different from a cheese board.

Finn’s Finest Cookies and Kolbi Kleinman recently hosted a class with Taylored Charcuterie where Taylor shared fun design and food selection tips with a room full of guests eager to learn how to make their own boards. She shared how to pair and arrange hard and soft cheeses, making rosettes from salami, picking popular nuts, crackers and flowers to round out a beauty of a board.

Of course, a perfect complement to pair with a charcuterie board, tomato soup or on its own is Finn’s Savory cracker with its aged cheddar and herbs.

Go ahead and assemble a board...your guests will love it.  Or call Taylor, she can help.
